A 12-week campaign to promote Poland as a tourist destination and a buoyant economy is being run on cable TV channel CNN from Sept. 26 to Dec. 14. The campaign has been timed to coincide with CNN's own series Eye on Poland, which runs from Oct. 6 to Oct. 13. Eye on Poland focuses on the economy, politics, tourism and culture.
Two 30-second commercials, based on CNN research on how Poland and its people are perceived, will be broadcast 625 times each and will paint Poland as a rapidly developing economy, a modern country favored by tourists and a land of opportunity for young and energetic people.

The Warsaw Stock Exchange and the cities of Gdansk, Warsaw and Lodz will be promoting themselves on CNN during the campaign and the CNN websites will be carrying advertising banners.
The campaign is a joint initiative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Polish Information and Foreign Investment Agency, the Polish Tourist Organization and LOT Polish Airlines.
